Lady Tigers beat Wolfe Co. 3-0 to move on to Elite 8 at UK, they will play Madisonville next Friday. Should have a realistic chance of winning that one, especially with how sensational Brianda Owens has been of late. Don’t know if anyone is beating Male, they look like they’re on their way to being the second undefeated state champ in history (Greenwood is the only one so far.) But here’s hoping for another good showing by Clay, this group of seniors have been stellar for many years now, they deserve what they’ve accomplished.

Clay will take on Madisonville-North Hopkins June 7. Winner plays the winner of Male/Boyle County the following afternoon. Brianda Owens had 16 strikeouts against Wolfe. Prodigious performance by her, Coach Gilbert, and the team. Lady Maroons come in at 24-9 while Clay comes in at 35-2.
