The United States beats Brazil for only the second time ever in a FIFA Cup match. First time that the United States U 20 team has ever defeated the Brazilians. This match was played in Ottawa Canada in the Group D of the final 32 in the U 20 FIFA World Cup. The United States were lead by Joser Altidore who scored the USA's two goals. With this win the USA will advance to the Stage of 16 automatically, while highly favored Brazil will have to sit and wait while their fait in determined by the other groups. If they do advance they will be one of 2 third place teams in Group 32 to advance. Poland knocked Brazil to third place this afternoon defeating Korea 1-0. Group D final standing looked like this
