I'm glad you started this thread, Pulp. I know I started several of them in the past. I remember sitting in my classroom about to wrapping up 1st period when the principal came on the intercom and told up to let our kids interact on the radio feed he was about to put on the p.a.. My planning period was about to begin so me and another social studies teacher went out to our family resource center and watched events unfold for the next hour on tv. I remember many details of that day including the weather. I was later told football practice was cancelled for the next couple days along with Thursday's game. A few days later when we resumed football practice, we were about to run a play. I was talking to my assistant coach and when I turned around the, players were pointing up into the air. You could barely see it, but it was a jet. We all just stood that watching the jet for a few seconds. We knew then the ban on air flights had been lifted. I will never forget those events.
