Impeachment
Cardfan1 Wrote:Rand Paul is trying to go to jail. If he outs the whistleblower, and they are retaliated upon by some "lucid" Trump supporter, or supporters, Senator Paul will be endorsing those checks he's receiving from that neighbor squabble and handing them straight to the whistleblower.

Drip will continue. It would have continued anyway; you're right about that, but Trump could have said everything was done appropriately and fairly in the Senate trial. A fair amount of closure would have been established. Instead there will be an extreme amount of what could have been.

:hilarious: Have you at least offered your advisor services to MR Paul? I know I hang on every word. Everybody in the known universe knows the identity of the whistleblower-not.

You proceed as do all La-La Libs from a completely false premise. Everybody knows you guys think debate means to firmly stand your ground, while you revise, repackage, rename, redefine, repurpose and restate in self righteous posturing, your same old positions until the enemy is subdued. That is unless libs have enough liberal activist judges in their pocket. In that case they merely legislate conservatives into submission. Other than Mitt Romney and Susan Collins and one or two other RINO's, nobody's buying that drivel anymore.

So your contentions which assume the fake impeachment would ever be accepted as valid by lucid folks, or that IF Republicans bowed to desperate Dems, and gave them everything they want in the effort to somehow gain the Dem's seal of approval, then the animosity in Congress would all clear up. Which of course is absurd on it's face. But allowing Dems to define every issue, the motives and the performance of Republicans is exactly what has gone on in DC for decades now. Not to mention the way libs openly declare what 'Americans' want all the time, a particularly annoying tack in my book. But oh glorious revelation, Republicans have finally said enough.

Drip away, we're good.

When Chief Justice John Roberts wouldn't read his question 2 days in a row, that's all I need to know about the legality of what Senator Paul is trying. Maybe his optometry studies made him an expert in Whistleblower laws.

I agree. Drip away. Welcome to "HRC emails" 2020.

I do find it odd this was all about investigating the Bidens. Here is a chance to put them under oath and damage them and Senate Republicans and the Trump administration balks. Odd tactic unless it was just a conspiracy theory all along.

Yeah a lot of things are odd about people's willful submission to obvious lies these days. Like lefties still thinking after being completely called out on it, that they've nonetheless got enough over the rest of us to think we'd legitimize their impeachment hoax anyway, and grant the rule changes they want. Boy is the world on it's head, you cant depend on anything these days. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see what the AG and the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee come up with to that end. There's no hair on fire hurry so let's at least get something right here. I mean we got 5 more years with Trump at the helm and then 8 more with Pence. Plenty of time for the drip to dry up.

There is no such thing as an impeachment hoax. It happened. Republicans accepted the president’s corruption and left him in office because they are afraid their head will be on a pike. It’s a shame we have politicians who don’t have the courage to stand up to a demagogue.

Pence has issues. Poor guy is toasted’s over Trump’s decisions. He’ll be ready to head back to Indiana if they’ll have him.

I keep telling you that extremists are answered. Better root for Biden or you’ll get Sanders: like it or lump it.
No courage to call Bidens and whistleblower.

Senate just voted against 75% of Americans.

Not an issue.

:yikes: Quit. You're gonna make me chew off the rest of my fingernails.

I say the Dems could run Bernie and Joe, and both of their vote totals put together still wouldn't beat Trump. Lindsey Graham and or John Durham will call the Bidens and the whistleblower.

They both beat Trump in polls.
Neither have that HRC evil following them.
I actually believe Trump has a real problem with Bernie in Pennsylvania and Michigan. If so...he loses.

Polls? Oh, you mean the ones weighted 9% or higher towards Democrats.

As for me and my house, we're voting for Trump. You got the courage to declare the candidate on whom you've pinned your Presidential hopes there Cardfan, or are you just voting for the Democrat no matter who?

:biglmao: If the multiverse theory is true and there are an infinite number of universes, then Hitler reigns supreme in more of those universes than Bernie serves as the president of this country.

Bernie may have a chance of winning California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and Maryland. He has a better chance of becoming el Presidente de Venezuela than of beating Donald Trump in this country.

The odds of Sanders dying because of poor health and the stress of the campaign are higher than him winning the election in 2020. Joe Biden's chances are not much better and neither would have a chance except for this country's steadily declining education system.

What patriotic American (i.e., non-Democrat) will vote for Bernie Sanders? If he gets his party's nomination, I see images of Venezuela and North Korea playing a prominent role in the general campaign.

Vote yes for toilet paper! Vote for Trump!

You must have forgotten that your boy Schiff (to paraphrase) said that Americans don't know #&@* , and their votes cant be trusted.

Did Elizabeth Warren's question tell you all you need to know about anything concerning her?

If you have ever driven by a coal mine or spoken to a coal miner, then you are at least as well qualified as Hunter Biden for a million dollar per year job advising a Ukrainian energy company. Maybe we all should be applying for lucrative jobs requiring absolutely no relevant experience.

Just a conspiracy theory!? What a partisan Democrat flunky!

Haha you let yourself be duped. If you ask the generic question should trials have witnesses 75% say yes. And low-information people run with that.
But, if you ask if the House called 18 witnesses and all they got were people's feelings, opinions, second and third hand accounts, and no direct evidence of any crime or wrongdoing, should the Senate start over with a whole new batch of witnesses to try to prove House Dems' case, 75% say GTFO.

Winners win and crying losers beg for a do over.
Bob Seger Wrote:Did Elizabeth Warren's question tell you all you need to know about anything concerning her?

Confirmed yet again what we already knew.

Here's one for you: Will Romney call in sick and send a note from his doctor the day he has to show up and vote not to convict and remove the president?

I read it on Fox News report of the recent Monmouth poll. I didn’t run the survey, so I don’t know what questions were asked.

I agree it is a waste of time if the vote is acquit.

I actually haven’t made my mind up yet. I’m not worried about it too much. Both will be decided in KY when it’s time for me to vote.

I knew you wouldn't name your candidate of choice. But let's not act like you're in the smallest sense pragmatic. So it's the Dem no matter who.

People thought the same of Trump in the fall of 2015.

Then why didn’t they call the Bidens.

My suspicion is they knew there was nothing of concern. Americans don’t give a hoot about what the old VP’s son is doing in Ukraine.

Real irony was the defense team put Pam Bondi to do the Hunter Biden slam. If that ain’t the pot calling the Kettle black !!
Bob Seger Wrote:Did Elizabeth Warren's question tell you all you need to know about anything concerning her?

Yep. She was foolish to insult the presiding judge.
jetpilot Wrote:Confirmed yet again what we already knew.

He fits right in with the other weak men who allowed Trump to insult them during the campaign and now grovel at his feet: Cruz, Paul, Rubio, Graham, etc..
Cardfan1 Wrote:People thought the same of Trump in the fall of 2015.
Nobody thought Trump was a Communist in the fall of 2015. Bernie Sanders is an avowed socialist. Anybody who would even consider voting for Bernie does not have the best interests of this nation at heart.

Where do you stand? Does this nation need Cuba's healthcare system or Venezuela's toilet paper shortage?
I think I got everybody answered. Lol

Hunter Biden was hired exclusively because his father was VP. When Hunter's employer needed Joe's help, he responded to the call and boasted about coercing the Ukranian government to drop its investigation.

If you really cared about an administration abusing its power then you would not be so dismissive of the allegations of bribery and extortion against the Bidens. Unlike the unprecedented sham impeachment of Donald Trump, there is enough evidence of bribery and extortion perpetrated by Joe Biden to have warranted further investigation and possibly, his removal from office.

:please: Your suspicion? From what I've seen on here you get every last one of your suspicions handed to you by liberal media. Uncle Joe was point man on two countries, not three and not one. Two. Ukraine and China. Hunter got lucrative contracts from BOTH countries.

Liberals see only what they want to see that is if they are not completely blind.

Perhaps he would like North Korea's better.

Exactly.
Dems would vote for Charles Manson over any Republican.
Bob Seger Wrote:Perhaps he would like North Korea's better.
Why not? Some of the best grass soup in the world is to be found in North Korea and no country in the world uses less electricity. It is a left winger's paradise.

There is virtually no light pollution in North Korea because there is virtually no light after the sun goes down, so it is a great place for amateur astronomy, as long as you do not need a computer driven mount to track the stars.

CF1, what about it? How does a home where the deer and antelope no longer roam and there are virtually no cows or smoke stacks belching out (and farting) carbon dioxide sound to you? A place where universal (re)education is already free? Why wait for failed carpenter, Bernie Sanders, to transform this nation into your left wing dream world when a one-way ticket to a left wing dream come true could be your's today?
