How Did We Get to the Point That We Could Consider a Communist for Pr

Here is the full quote:

"I don't mind people coming up and calling me a communist," Sanders said. "At least, they're still alive."

None of that tells me what makes Bernie a communist now.

Even it was true then politicians sometimes change their stripes.

Trump in '04: 'I probably identify more as Democrat'

It would seem comparative analysis just ain't your forte.

Trump said he changed, and has laid out in rather extensive terms the particulars of his enlightenment. He even aptly characterized his personal failings and his regrets thereto. In both areas however, (political and spiritual/moral) he has been adamant about the validity of having changed his mind. Want another example? Ronald Wilson Reagan. A man with whom BTW, your hero Obama famously tried to identify and was mocked to scorn. But frankly I can identify with MR Trump wholeheartedly, as I was once a Dem and too, was living outside of the protections and insight of our Lord's forgiveness. So Trump has gone to careful lengths to voice his change of heart and give the why.

Now comes along Cardfan and though unable to cite a scintilla's worth of support, wants to hold ol Bern's end up anyway. Because as every one of Bernie's advocacies, proposals, speeches, debate performances or policy declarations clearly show, that nasty taste for socialism hasn't eased one iota. Not to mention he certainly hasn't made a statement formal or otherwise, that he has 'changed his stripes.'
