Hollywood Apocalypse NOW: Rich and famous are fleeing thanks to liberal politics
#1
Will American voters reward liberal Democrats for surrendering Seattle, Portland, Chicago, and many other cities to chaos? Even the rich and famous are fleeing to safety of red states. We can only hope that after voting with their feet, they will not spread the disease of liberal Democrat politics to their new neighborhoods.

Trump should run against the liberal Democrat policies that are destroying the quality of life in California, Oregon, and Washington - three states that Republican presidential candidates have not won in a very long time. Make the election west coast liberalism versus traditional American values and it will be hard for Trump to lose the Electoral College vote. Who cares if he loses the popular vote again? Play by the existing rules and win the game.

If I were Trump, I would take an extended tour of the west coast and meet with victims of liberalism from LA to Seattle. Treat the entire west coast as the disaster area that it is and warn that Biden and #HeelsUpHarris want to bring the same policies that have destroyed lives all along the American west coast to the rest of the nation.

Quote:Hollywood Apocalypse NOW: Rich and famous are fleeing in droves as liberal politics and coronavirus turn City of Dreams into cesspit plagued by junkies and violent criminals

Gold's Gym has become synonymous with the Hollywood Dream.

Set just a few hundred yards from the ocean in sun-kissed Venice Beach, Los Angeles, Gold's was the backdrop for Pumping Iron, the 1977 documentary which followed a young, unknown Austrian bodybuilder called Arnold Schwarzenegger as he prepared for the Mr Universe contest.

The film turned him into an overnight sensation. He would go on to become a global superstar, marry a member of the Kennedy clan, and become Governor of California.

Yet today Gold's sits amid post-apocalyptic scenes which have consumed much of LA, turning the City of Dreams into an urban nightmare from which people are fleeing in droves.

A makeshift tent city made up of flapping tarpaulins and cardboard boxes surrounds the gym on all sides.

Junkies and the homeless, many of whom are clearly mentally ill, walk the palm-lined streets like zombies – all just three blocks from multi-million-dollar homes overlooking the Pacific.

Stolen bicycles are piled high on pavements littered with broken syringes.

TV bulletins are filled with horror stories from across the city; of women being attacked during their morning jog or residents returning home to find strangers defecating in their front gardens.

Today, Los Angeles is a city on the brink. 'For Sale' signs are seemingly dotted on every suburban street as the middle classes, particularly those with families, flee for the safer suburbs, with many choosing to leave LA altogether.

And liberals should run against the Conservative leadership that has fostered racial tension and failed the nation during a pandemic. Crapping in a yard ain't nothing compared to dying in a hospital.

Funny all these folks are moving to Nashville the most liberal city in TN!!

Biden and #HeelsUpHarris may win the election but they will not do it by hiding in a basement, dodging questions, and blaming Trump for a disease that has left virtually no country unscathed. California liberals are now pushing for a "wealth tax." Everything liberals touch turns to crap. They have destroyed the west coast and the northern half of the Atlantic seaboard. Ditto for Minneapolis, Chicago, and Detroit. Liberalism is the political equivalent of cancer.

No cure for either, but at least you have a chance to survive cancer. You are correct, everything they touch turns to pure crap. Can't even watch pro sports anymore. Pitiful.

Kind of sexist.  But at least it was consensual and all participants were of age.

Conservatives destroy the nation.
See Trump 2020.

The poorest states in the nation are led by conservatives.

The only reason KY isn’t is because Bevin tried a baby Trump routine, and it didn’t work.

There is nothing sexist about pointing out a clear case of exchanging sexual favors for political favors. All bribery is consensual but that does not make it right. (That is your cue to explain how everybody does it but Republicans do it much more often than corrupt liberal Democrats.)

California liberals are not content to create a wealth tax and drive some of the key cogs of their economy to states having friendlier business climates. The proposed law would continue to tax the wealth of individuals driven out of the state for ten years. Just let that sink in for a minute. A state tax that follows a person for 10 years after they move to another state. There is no way that such a law would be constitutional. California continues to self destruct at a rate that seems unlikely to slow any time soon.

Nope.
I was saying Trump is an accused sexual assaulter.
25 time....25 time.

When you want to criticize alleged sexual misdeeds, and you are Trump supporter just shut up. You lose.

Let’s hope not. Not sure who will pay the bills of the red states including KY.

I did not attack #HeelsUpHarris for sexual misdeeds. She was and is to do whatever she wants behind closed doors but trading sex for political gain is evidence of weak character and naked political ambition. You can't justify her behavior so you resort to insults and lies again. That is also an indicator of character weakness. You are the loser, coward.

California is already failing to pay its bills and it drains resources from the entire Southwestern U.S. The rolling blackouts that have afflicted millions of Californians is probably news to you but it shows just how bad liberals are at managing state economies. California is well down the road of becoming our version of Venezuela. A state of great natural wealth squandering resources and shaking down its job creators one more time.

If Kentucky is struggling to pay its bills, then it is only because voters were stupid enough to elect a liberal Democrat governor.

“first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.”

California has the 5th largest GDP in the WORLD, and often pays more to the federal govt. than it receives.

Why would we focus on one state’s struggle when the whole nation is a dumpster fire right now?

Who said anything about federal taxes? California's sky high state taxes and the most restrictive environmental and regulatory environment in the country are what is threatening to bankrupt the state. That is what is driving wealthy job creators out of the state. Overly generous state and local government pensions are contributing to California's budget shortfalls.

What do you think will happen to California residents who stay where they are when the courts rule that a state cannot legally collect a state tax from former residents who fled the state for greener pastures? Somebody will have to pay and it will not be me.

I just hope we are around in 10 years.

Red states have their own problems, and have no place worried about others much less those that pay their bills.

If California could pay its bills, then it would not be trying to saddle wealthy people fleeing its high state tax rates with a ten-year wealth tax AFTER they have left the state. Even New York's dimwitted governor is too smart to try to hold residents hostage with a wealth tax that follows those who move from state to state. Do you realize how stupid it is to defend such a tax? Don't you have enough problems already with people not taking you seriously?  Big Grin

I’m not defending it.
Just stupid to gripe about it when half the nation can’t take care of itself. You’re picking on California only because it’s liberal.

States with conservative governments are not driving residents out with confiscatory taxes that punish success. More wealthy people are leaving California than are arriving there. That is a fact. California is trying to force those who plan on leaving to reconsider by threatening to tax them whether the leave or not. Raising taxes is the exact opposite policy to adopt to retain a state's most productive citizens. Liberal policies almost destroyed the auto industry in Michigan.

It is absurd to think that California will be able to take a portion of Elon Musk's wealth for 10 years after he sells his property and moves most of his operations to Texas and Nevada. Smart, wealthy people who can afford the best tax lawyers in the country are not going to be intimidated by the threat of an unconstitutional state tax.

So California loses those folks.
Why are you griping? They will run to those perfectly ran conservative states.
Maybe they will make all the way over here to Kentucky.

I am not griping at all. I am just rubbing your nose in the fact that all of those liberal policies that you advocate are crippling California's state economy and driving its most successful businesses and individuals out of the state. Not only that, liberals have virtually given up on attracting new investment to the state, they are determined to squeeze ever cent out of the wealthy people who are fleeing the state. As Lady Thatcher said, "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."
