I recently listened to one of the best political speeches that I have heard and wanted to share it here. If more Democrat politicians spoke with the clarity and common sense of Representative John Deberry, Jr. - a Democrat who represents a district in Memphis in the TN General Assembly, then Donald Trump and the GOP would have something to worry about in November. Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on your point of view, politicians who speak with the clarity and conviction of Rep. Debeery are increasingly rare in American politics.



Although he was first elected as a Democrat in 1994, the Democrat Party had his name removed from the ballot this year because he voted with Republicans too often, so he is running as an Independent in November. It is a shame that he is not serving as a member of Congress.
