Final good win for Ashland.

Congratulations Ashland!

Congrats to Ashland ! I thought it might be closer. Why is Bell not recruiting players like they always have done?

Tomcats got some real speed, bobcats make way too many mistakes. Would say it would be a different game without the turnovers but it seems to be a reoccurring thing for the bobcats to be making a over-par number of mistakes.

Tough game to get prepared for in such a short time. That’s big boy football like Johnson Central. These games can prepare them for playoffs, but morale could be taking a hit. Should win out depending on covid 19 and make it to Rockcastle.

With Ashland being in 3A....probably gives the rest of the contenders a realistic view of Bell’s playoff chances moving forward.

Always thought Stephany was the only offensive threat Bell had last year ....and that’s proven out.  He made everyone else on that offense better.  Tough tough player to replace.

3 turnovers inside the 10 yard line and only 3 passing yards for the entire game. I hope the Bobcats get it fixed before the playoffs. 28 to 14 would have looked a lot better but it was a hard fought game. No excuses on Log Mountain!

Did Bell move the ball on the ground efficiently?   Only 3 yards passing... but 3 turnovers inside the 10??  So Bell’s running attack was effective?   Obviously  3 turnovers are back breakers .....however they still gave up a lot of points    Can u give us a synopsis?   Thanks

Without a doubt Dudley has been, but most likely the areas where he used to thrive in have dried up Harrogate, where he used to get a bunch, has built a new high school, ditto for Harlan Co as well. That being said don’t count him out, he struck out this year which means he’ll have three or more kids the caliber of Stephney next year and an upgrade along the line as well. For all his faults he can still flat out coach and he’ll get kids to come play.

Sorry the first drive fumble occurred on the 18 yard line. The second drive ended with an interception on the 5 yard line. The fourth drive fumble on the 5 you get the picture. Bell moved the ball but Ashland had 3 plays for over 75 yards each two of them came on third down. Four red zone trips and zero points to show for it. Ashland has two kids with nice speed numbers 2 and 17. Bell must figure out some kind of passing game to keep teams from loading the box.
