I'm going to visit mom in Richmond for Christmas. If I didn't have so much to do before then I'd go up early and take this one in. Tubby's a cool dude, very good coach, and a nice man. Fond memories of Tubby as a Wildcat ...

My stepbrother was actually a manager at Dawahares in Fayette Mall while they were still in business, and as part of his job he helped the UK coaches and other staff members and their families with the clothes they got comped to them.  He said, by far, the nicest people from UK he ever dealt with were Tubby and Donna. He is still my favorite UK coach, it was just time for that marriage to end.

Tubby always seemed to exude kindness, honesty,  and class. I'm not at all surprised by your story, VH .  It's what I would have expected.  Hell of a good coach at UK, as well.
