Former Eastern Kentucky University Great Tim Lester Has Died
#1
Former Colonel great Tim Lester has died.  He was one of the great running backs to come out of EKU back in the early 90's.  He was drafted by the LA Rams and played 7 seasons in the NFL for the Rams and Steelers.  He became known as "The Bus Driver" for his blocking at the fullback position for future hall of fame running back Jerome Bettis.  He was inducted into the EKU Hall of Fame in 2011. He died of COVID complication.  RIP, Bus Driver.

EKU legend. Never got see him play, he graduated just before I started at EKU. Would have loved to see him play.

I have his autographed Steelers jersey that he signed framed and sitting on my entertainment center. He was definitely one of the top 5 backs to come out of EKU.
