More cheerleading. I have explained why Biden's mask updates are worse than useless. Where possible, social distancing works and teleworking to reduce the density of workers in the workplace is something that Trump mandated for federal facilities months ago. The agency where I work is working on a full teleworking schedule, with visits to the office requiring approval by a department head. If we do have to go to the office, our guideline is to spend no more than 30 minutes on site. The Trump administration took a lot of effective actions that got no media coverage because of political considerations.

As I said, mandating masks for people working at a desk 10 feet or more apart, most of whom have a cubicle partition between them and their coworkers really is a bad idea. When we were working one or two days a week in the office, we were required to wear masks in any situation where we were face to face with coworkers. The masks that most people wear have been proven to be ineffective and breeding grounds for bacteria and viruses. Wearing medical grade masks with frequent changes is expensive and most people are not wearing those masks or are not changing them frequently.

I can find plenty of Biden political propaganda to read but I understand what Trump had already mandated for federal offices and in that area, nothing Biden is proposing is an improvement. I also know that testing people with no symptoms is nothing but a political move. It was when members of the Trump administration advocated more testing and it still is when Biden proposes more testing. The focus needs to be on keeping the elderly and other people with conditions put them at high risk healthy. Testing health people in under the age of 50 is a total waste of time unless testing involves taking their temperature until they show symptoms.
