Psalm 63
But the king will rejoice in God; Everyone who swears by Him will boast, For the mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped.

King David, (the king who would soon rejoice in God), was a man after God's own heart. Speaking to King Saul the prophet Samuel had given Saul an ominous rebuke.  “But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart” (1 Sam. 13:14)

People were lying about King David about like our generation has lied about DJT. David was being hunted by King Saul, who had every intention of killing him because he had been told that God informed Samuel to anoint David as the new king. But even as Saul pursued David, David had King Saul's life in his hands more than once. And chose not to kill him to prevent Saul from carrying out his evil threat.

David considered taking Saul's life as he slept, but realized that the Lord would give him the kingdom when the time was right, and he trusted that God would keep him safe until that time. Hence the message--- Vengeance is mine, I will repay; saith the Lord.
