Varsity played two 12 minute quarters.... no punts & no kickoff returns.

The score doesn't tell the story. JC had two possessions and two TD's. Ashland had three possessions and scored 3 points.

Great experience for the Tomcats as they will face no one like that in 3A. Hopefully Ashland gave JC some competition to help them also. Good to see the old District foes go at each other again. They have had some classic games over the years.

Pikeville would have to get some quick & early TD's to get the W...... Ashland's depth would probably ware Pikeville down if they were in a track meet.

Based on what I saw from both scrimmages against JC........
O & D line advantage to Pikeville.
Skill player advantage to Ashland.
QB advantage to Pikeville.
Defense advantage to Pikeville.
Depth advantage to Ashland.

Ashland & Pikeville would be great game.
