Hoot, don’t try defend the waste of taxpayer money  on defense with the constitution and the founding fathers.  You know good well they wouldn’t support the military role the United States has taken in the world.

The answer IS to rebuild the nation.  Which program you think is a liberal giveaway?

cut the Trump tax cuts and you get 1.7 trillion back. Won’t take much more past that.
I consider all federal spending that is not constitutionally required to be a waste. That is not a popular notion politically, but that is what I believe. Your contention that repealing the Trump tax cuts will result in an increase in tax revenues of $1.7 trillion is naive. When the government sucks an additional $1.7 trillion out of the economy, it comes with a steep cost. The tax cuts were an important factor in the strong economy that we had before the pandemic took hold.

The only part of the economy that will benefit from the huge deficit spending that Biden proposes is the area surrounding Washington, DC. If Biden gets his way - and you get your way, he will wreck the economy. Corporations will resume moving jobs and corporate headquarters our of this country to locations more friendly to businesses.

It is really hard to understand why people like you see no connection between high taxes and over-regulation on this country's economy. One would think that the soaring inflation rate that has already become a problem for the Biden administration would cause you to question the economic theories that liberal politicians have been promoting. But, no, not you. You are still just repeating Democrat talking points and insisting that the Biden economy is a miracle.

The economy will be a losing issue for Democrats in the 2022 elections and it will be a boat anchor for whoever wins the Democrat presidential in 2024. Don't worry, if you forget this advice, I will be reminding you as Democrats' election losses mount.
Constitutionally required and what we spend on defense are two different things.
The economy was growing at a faster clip prior to those tax cuts so that doesn’t hold water either.
I have no doubt the DC area will get their share but to say those are the only people that will benefit is a fallacy. The COVId bills were spread over the nation this infrastructure spending will be too.
Hoot, defense dollars are swallowed up by the VA and DC area by your logic we should cut that and spread it around.

well, we can crack a history book or use Google and understand that these tax rates have continuously been cut by Republicans for over 40 years now while middle class wages are stagnant and poverty has grown in the wealthiest nation in the world.

The nation has shifted to two income households to make ends meet,  unaffordable college, and consistent cuts to public services in the name of tax cuts for the rich.

All the while the rich have moved their corporations and factories overseas while their tax rates have been slashed over and over by Republicans.  They crash the economy and the taxpayer has to bail them out.

I don’t understand how you can continue to defend the consistent protection of the millionaire and billionaire class and corporations who have no concern for this country or its people.

But I do understand that you love your socialism when it comes to the rich. A real free market capitalist wants the govts hands out of businesses decisions to move overseas or staying.

I remember when Obamacare was “a losing issue.”  Now Republicans don’t whisper Obamacare.  The economy will not be a losing issue if these spending bills will be passed and the debt ceiling raised.
Economy will tank if Republicans get their way, and you will be right, Hoot. But let’s not forget why it tanks and why Republicans will win; they want power and money not what is best for this nation.
You really do not understand how our economy works. The economy is already stumbling, thanks to Biden's socialist policies. Implementing government policies that are detrimental to corporations struggling to do business in this country is not a winning strategy.
I understand the economy was in the tank after the inept Covid response. That was a losing issue.

I understand this country has been business friendly for 40+ years and we have seen the middle class slip away and more and more jobs move overseas.

Hoot, you act as if these corporations and their rich overlords are going to do the right by America.  When? When is the trickle down going to occur? Income Inequality is at record highs.  When will the American worker see the dividends from giving the rich man breaks?

So far all we have seen is a loss of governmental service and a manipulation of our elected officials with all this free flowing money at the top.

Now which Socialist Policies has Biden implemented that is destroying the economy?  Do you have something or is that just right wing blather?
I have repeatedly criticized Biden's socialist, anti-American policies. There is no purpose in repeating them for you or our small audience. Having an unsecured, open southern border is one of the most damaging policies that Biden has implemented. His administration even declared a no-fly zone briefly over a bridge to prevent Fox News from airing videos of the mess that he has created along the border. Doling out federal unemployment benefits that resulted in many Americans making more money for not working than they did while they were employed created a labor shortage. Gasoline prices have skyrocketed on Biden's watch and he has placed large oil reserves off-limits to American oil companies. He has also canceled pipeline projects that cost thousands of jobs as they reduced the supply of affordable oil to our refineries.

However, you are right about Biden not getting much done this year. The most damaging of Biden's socialist policies are those that have not yet become law.

An loose border would support capitalists: cheap labor and control of workforce/wages.  So Biden is either doing this for capitalism or he is doing it for humanity.

Unemployment isn’t the cause of the labor shortage.  You know that’s disingenuous and it’s more complicated than that. Covid unemployment has been gone nationally for a month and the labor shortage is still there. What’s up?  People found other ways to make money instead of relying on the corporations that don’t care about their workers.

strike two

Hoot, the gulf has been ravaged by hurricanes. There is your high gas price, which is still only about .20 cents higher than Trump’s average.  Good news is The infrastructure bill will pass and those folks will be there to build American infrastructure instead of a pipeline for Canadian oil across sacred land.

strike three

thank you.  Everything you have whined about hasn’t happened yet. I hope it does. Americans will see change that positively affects them instead of another round of fattening the wallet of a millionaire or billionaire.

Lie one. Lie two. Lie three. I can count too. Borders are open because Biden reversed Trump's immigration policies that worked. Canceling pipelines hurt American workers. Federal unemployment benefits created an artificial labor shortage. Biden's socialist policies and proposals have created uncertainty in the economy, which is never a good thing.

Which Trump border policies worked? Covid?  That one worked for sure.  Nobody crossed in 2020. 2019 was as high as any year in the past decade.  Trump solving things doesn’t hold water. Also loose border policies would not be socialist.

American workers are hurt everyday but you seem to only care when it comes to fossil fuels. Those jobs were temporary anyway.

lucky you, Hoot.  You got to keep your job at your rate and didn’t have to draw unemployment because your place of employment closed due an inept Covid response from Trump.  Then you didn’t get vilified by the conservative world because you didn’t run and get you a fast food job since they were hiring. Then you didn’t lose the unemployment benefits you were receiving which didn’t make up a portion of your salary. I thought you cared about American workers?

You finally have a phrase that is plausible: “Biden’s socialist proposals.” None are even close to as socialist as the corporate welfare doled out by Trump and Obama, but you are finally on the right path; the Biden plan is just proposed.
But wait hasn’t the market been at an all time high? how are these proposals  not good?   We are told the market runs off the future. By your logic experts must expect these proposals to fail.
