Estill County 2021/22
#1
Estill County losses only 1 (Britney Mason) from this year's team. They return both leading scorers in Mia Hale and Jacy Long among several other key players.

How will the Lady Engineers fare?

Schedule?

As far as I know, Berea, Nicholas County are on it plus district games.

Could this be the year Estill ends the drought and wins a district championship? Owsley and Lee both will be down. Powell losses they're leading scorer in Macy Howell.

Knott County Central will come to Estill County next season.

Estill should enter year as favorite.  However, not sure that Owsley will be down. Might want to check that out a little further.

They lose two of the three leading scorers in Lynch and Herald. 4 total.

Got a feeling they will reload quiet well.   Some of the best young talent in region is in Owsley County.

Then it should make for some fun competitive games and not so lop sided. Lol.

Yes it should be.

Owsley does lose a lot of talent but anytime a team has Carly Smith and Addison Terry returning they’re not going to be down too bad. In addition, Shelby Murray, Ailayah Lynch, Kerissa Shouse have played some valuable minutes this season.
Also, there’s is always the likelihood that some of the seniors might return if the governor signs HB 128.

Powell’s Caudill is a very good guard. Quick to the basket. The defense has to know where she is at all times.
Powell will really miss their center from last year though. She led them in scoring and rebounding. But anytime a school has an enrollment of over 700 in the 9-12 grades they will have potential. Estill is in a similar position in enrollment, similar numbers  that Powell has.

Seems like alot of people are leaving Jayci Long with Estill off the top players list. She was only an 8th grader last season and she put up better numbers than most of the top players in the 14th that’s listed on other threads on here.
