Whitley County last year in 2021, I don't have a schedule for 2022 but per the request of their greatest fan PJDOUG, let's think about the possibilities.

I like how they fought, and they are looking to smoke some hind end! I do see one date that is dear to both 64SUR and PJDoug and that is the North/Whitley game.

When someone gets a schedule please post it.

Thoughts?

I believe we will play Corbin better this time around and Corbin lost some quality players
#3
I think so too.

Whitley 2-8 in 2020, Whitley 2-8 in 2021, Not sure a record of 4-16 past two seasons can compete with Corbins 20-3 record past two seasons.   Whitley does have some good Seniors and Juniors this year but imo Corbin wins 40-6 on Campbell Field.

still won’t be very good

The Colonels believe in their young coach, and will continue to fight and improve this season.

He’s a great coach and even better person I’m told. Whitley could shock a few people if they get everyone to buy in. Good overall crop of athlete’s. Weight room and Conditioning and line of scrimmage will tell it all. Corbin just always plays at a higher level. Great feeder system for both programs.

It’s a tough schedule

Rumor floating around he may be on his way back to Cumberlands under the new staff there.

Watched them play last year, and i don’t know how much they return but i don’t see a large amount of potential for this year. Not in this district at least.

They can compete in this district as long as it has mediocre , underachieving teams such as North Laurel.

sad story. sounds like they're in real trouble.

If he was leaving he is class act enough to let the school know because it’s late in year to find a coach and I’m sure the colleges have their coaches set

If Whitley can hang on and keep moving forward they are going to be fine. Those young guys have done a great job in a short time. They have a very tough district but could possibly lose a team or two in the next realignment.

Do you not think South Laurel underachieves, I can remember when they had very competitive teams.

That’s a tough schedule. I could see 2 wins that they should get and a couple more that could be close with them having a shot to win. Need to stay the course and keep working.

I like this young coach and the way this team played last year. The kids look to have bought into what the coach was trying to do and played some teams down to the wire. They could very well beat those teams this year if they keep progressing like they did last year. This is one team I will keep an eye on. They will only improve.

I like the coach too. if he stays there and I keep seeing gradual improvement and great effort like last year I'll be happy. I wonder if there are any new faces in Colonel Land.

Don’t know about collins or danville this year, but 2-8 might be the eventual end for this team. Will south be better this year?

I have put the games that I think will be possibilities, not saying that others can't be as Whitley played Pulaski to a close game considering.

Whitley County can definitely be competitive with the effort they'll give and they'll show some improvement. I'd expect South Laurel, and a couple other schools that you listed to be improved over last year's teams.
