The Lady Panthers are heading to Rupp!
4th consecutive trip!

Pikeville narrowly escapes and continues their strong season by defeating Lawrence County 46-43 in overtime.  Pikeville controlled this game from the tip with a strong defensive effort.  They were able to slow the Lawrence County offense down and make them earn every score.  Lawrence County made a run late sparked by their defensive pressure but it was too little too late as Pikeville wins it in OT.

#7 Pikeville improves to 31-2 on the season, a new record for wins in a season for the Program.

Credit to Lawrence County for forcing Pikeville to make errors they have not made much all season. A really good fight from LCHS after being down 10 to start the 4th.

On to Rupp Arena for the 4th straight season!

Congratulations to Pikeville. They made the plays and took home another region title. These two will probably meet again next season and I look forward to that.

Great game to watch from start to finish. LC had plenty of chances to take the win, but fell a little short. Look for LC to be back next year and hopefully with their full roster.

Man that last 5 min in regulation was crazy. Pikeville got a little rattled and turned it over 5-6 times and scored 2 points in the 4th quarter. The mark of a great team is being able to not play great and still get a win in tournament play. Survive and advance. That’s exactly what they did.
