With all of the great coaches for different sports at JC, Shawn Hall may be the most underrated. This is one of the best coaching jobs you’ll ever see. A lot of people counted JC out after struggling during the regular season. But Coach Hall seems to always have JC playing their best in the post season. This one is extra sweet for the Golden Eagles.

Definitely one of the sweetest in the trophy case! If you believe the idea is to be playing your best ball at the end, this team is the poster child. Great job by H. Blevins and C. Lemaster to hold the Bulldogs to a single run. We already shocked the world, let's go do it some more in Lexington. Why not?

Johnson Central laid in the weeds all year watching folks talk about Lawrence County and Paintsville and how they were far and above everyone else. And then come tournament time JC put on a masterclass of small-ball and won the region with a 15-21 record with a 7th grader making the all-region team. Folks better watch out the next 4-6 years cause this was suppose to be a rebuild year for them and they just repeated as regional champs.

Lawrence County has a heck of a team and have nothing to hand their heads about. They didn’t go down without a fight and were able to get the bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th.

All four teams that competed today gave it their all. It was a big task to win two games in one day against this level of competition.

When you play that type of schedule you are ready. Plus injury hurt LC late. Perfect storm for JC with bracket working out like it did.
