Ashland in trouble early-- really struggling with Owensboro's quickness. It's 12-2, Devils.
Nice move by DeBord to cut into the Ashland deficit. It's now 14-9. Tomcats are starting to settle in but can't afford too many empty possessions.
Ashland is not valuing possessions. Too many turnovers, too many low percentage looks.
20-14 at the end of the first quarter.
DeBord willing Ashland back into this one. 20-18, Devils lead.
Tied up at 20 with 5:15 remaining. Owensboro comes back and keep looking into the post. Carbon gets an And 1 and it's back out to 3.
27-25, Blazer leads. Owensboro will be at the line when play resumes.
30-28, Owensboro leads at the half.

Owensboro is getting away with a lot of fouling. That rebound put back off the missed free throw at about 2:10 in the second quarter by Owensboro, the rebounder pushed the Ashland kid that had him blocked out down and into the end zone. That was clearly a foul ! And when Ashland has the ball they’re a lot of hacking and pushing going uncalled.
