For the sake of all of the kids involved, let’s hope this isn’t true. Kids don’t need a guy going through the motions waiting on quitting day.

Rumor is TP and JD will be on staff in some capacity. TP will be booking concerts which will take place before and/or after games to help drum up attendance at games. Ticket prices will be more but will include admission to games. JD will be the merchandising manager selling limited edition Clay Co Case knives during halftime of all games. Glenn is said to be vying for an assistant position with the cheerleading program. He’s never been a cheer coach but everyone is being told that won’t be a problem as he’s just a natural coach.

Even after the previous staff ran it into the ground, Clay remains the premier job in the 13th and mountains. Brad will be a solid hire. He has a ton of experience and won a regional championship. Calipari isn't walking through that door. Clay just needs someone who is going to stick around for the long haul. Sizemore has young children hopefully that means he will be there awhile. Finding good quality assistants will be the key.

Glenn wanted to be a long haul man. Clay guy who loved the program. Born and raised. Sizemore will leave as soon as a better job arises. Probably will live in London.

These same ole' Clay guys and one Knox county kingpin being jerked around is why they're where they've been since Marcum left.

So Sizemore backed out at the last minute? It’ll be tough to sell the position to anyone after the Grey regime.

Stop living vicariously through the ghost of Bobby Keith. Clay is s**t . Gray being gone is not gonna help matters. No decent coach wants that mess of a place.

OSH chimes in before he starts talking about the Redhound football team. No one cares about Corbin football on this thread so keep it in the middle of the road.

no sizemore is the guy, just has some stipulations.
04-13-2023, 01:59 PM
Stipulations or what any normal coach who is worth anything would want? “They” said Marcum’s “stipulations” are what caused him to be let go. We’ll see if the hiring committee(I use that term loosely) cares more about wins or a new gym that sits empty like it has the last few years. You have to have the product before you expand the storefront!

No one besides a few hicks from Manchester cares about Clay anymore. Clay County is not relevant in sports(or much anything, really, besides tobacco juice). :)
I don't see it getting better, post-Gray.
Harlan County & Corbin will lead the way in the 13th in '23-'24 .

Time to find plan B at Clay County or maybe plan whoever you can get.

One year contract based on results…Clay has had “whoever you can get” the last 5 years.
