Where is a good place to eat in Mount Vernon?

If you are coming through Brodhead from Casey County or even from the Somerset area, I’d suggest stopping at Marcella’s Farm to Fork. Marcella is a huge Rockets support as her son is an alum and the current head baseball coach.

If you are coming from anywhere that would cause you to take the Mt. Vernon/Renfro Valley exit off I-75, I’d say to stop at Limestone Grill.

Either place is very worthy of stopping at. Both have AYCE catfish on Friday nights too. Both are country cooking-type sitdown restaurants with, to me, the biggest difference being that I don’t think Marcella’s serves alcohol so if you were 21+ years of age and going to consume an adult beverage, Limestone would be the place to go to.

If you were looking for something other than that type of food, I’d stop at Mi Mexico that’s just up from Limestone Grill. The owner Julian will serve you up some really good Mexican food.

Tomorrow is Senior Night.Rockcastle Seniors have overcome and delt with a lot of adversity this season. It has been a lot of fun watching these guys this season. Caleb Moore (who was QB1 last season) changed positions and has turned into probably the best WR to come out of Rock. Also Tucker Warren is a gun slugger like we have never seen before. I know the awards don't get released till a few more weeks but Warren has been more impressive and should win District player of the year. Hopefully we stay healthy and get the W. I'll take Rock 35-21
