Huh? What coaching staff doesn't want to win? Mostly all coaching staff put in the work and are grinders. Not trying to be negative towards Douglas, but you probably could take Sayres coaching staff and win at Douglas with some effort, it's not hard to see why they are successful, with their built-in advantages, ......and yes McPeak is a good coach, and they do a great job over there.  16th sometimes I think you give out too much information on Douglas that the Coaching staff probably would rather keep in house. Could be wrong.
Wanting to win and actually putting in the work to win are two different things. You can look around and see plenty of coaches putting in half effort. There are coaches out there that disappear after season and don’t show back up till summer.  Some have no interest in the weigh program. Some don’t stay in contact with their athletes. Some don’t check grades. Don’t assume every staff has the same level if commitment.
.....or talent, or facilities, or administration that really cares about football to let you do things to be successful, so you should never assume these things either.

Please elaborate on their build in advantages.
2 schools on one campus, they have a program that can get you into the school and if you drop the program, you still can stay at the school (could be like this at other FCPS) multiple kids that live out of district, Fieldhouse, state of art weight room that no other Fayette County public school has. Multiple QB's that were brought in and left and went back to their original school to graduate after the season. Administration that was hired to have a successful football program. Got to hire coaches that was at one time banned from Coaching in Kentucky, got more but I'm going to stop because it seems like I am hating on Douglas which I'm not trying to I actually like their program, but a question was asked.

Going to back track on the banned part, but I'm pretty sure at one time that might have been the case.

So many false narratives and lies on this thread it's unreal how social media spreads non-facts. I'm good friends with the McPeek family.

Coach Nathan McPeek was never banned from coaching in the state, matter of fact when he went to Georgia he was considering joining Boyle with Chuck Smith at the time, I'm not sure on Garry McPeek. I think Coach does a great job and I've never seen such a negative emotional deposit by people simply because they treat Douglass like a college program. Coach Nathan McPeek if you were to truly ask the football knowledgeable people in this state would be considered one of the best Head Coaches currently. Douglass has a beautiful school for sure, district made the decision to have Carter G in that building not Coach McPeek so why so much hate? I applaud him for helping these northside kids that get forgotten about and fall thru the cracks but he is using football to be an avenue to change their lives. What is FCPS motto "It's about the kids?" Congratulations on all the success and Coach Nathan McPeek for his Marshall Hall of Fame induction that is an incredible accomplishment.
