Wow, who ever threw the bottle on the floor cost BL the game.

But a win is a win, and Congratz Prestonsburg.

That was a great game Blackcats. Next stop District Chamionship.

Congrats Blackcats!!!

Betsy Layne now has they're own version of Steve Bartman. The guy that threw the bottle got the Blackcats back in the game with free throws.

This was a great ball game. The atmosphere was amazing and all those guys played their heart out. The momentum definitely shifted when the fan got the T but it didnt really decide the game. Both teams fought and took it to overtime. In overtime the Blackcats hit their free throws and sealed the win. Congrats Blackcats now lets go beat them Runnin' Rebels

Really fun game to watch, both teams played very physical. Prestonsburg started out quite sloppy but we started to pass the ball very good. Michael Burchett and Nathaniel Stephens had amazing games. Burchett, Stephens, and Hall also hit some very clutch free throws. Whoever threw the bottle onto the court is who cost Betsy Layne this game cause they had a 4 point lead with .46 seconds remaining, and Prestonsburg hit all there free throws including the ones called for the foul. I know some may ask why they didn't call a technical when some of the Prestonsburg students threw about 100 balls onto the court, but when they did they issued a warning to everyone else in the gym.

Hats off to the Betsy Layne seniors they played there hearts out but they should thank others for taking them out of the game.

Congrats Blackcats!

Congrats Blackcats!! Good win!

Don't agree with calling a T on a fan! That opens up all sorts of possible scenarios if you know what I mean! They should just find him and escort him out of the gym. Why penalize the players! Anyway, doesn't sound like it really mattered though because those foul shots weren't the game deciding shots!

Good luck Blackcats in the Championship!

Congrats Blackcats & good luck Friday!

IMO, it definitely decided the game!!! The Blackcats needed a mircale in the last minute of the game and believe me they got one. BL went from 4 up with a minute to play, to 2 down on one possession. Prestonsburg got 4 free throws, 2 for the foul & 2 for the "T", they made all four, got the ball back, and scored. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and mine is that BL "ABSOLUTELY" got the shaft on this one! Without that bottle being thrown on the floor BL wins this one. What should have happened is a warning should have been issued to the BL fans instead of a "T" being called. If that happens IMO BL wins the game. JMO

There was a warning to ALL the fans, after the balls were threw on the floor by the P-burg fan section....And they said next thing is thrown in the court will result in a T...

I realize that, but what should have happened is a warning should have been issued to Prestonsburgs fans (not everyone) at the beginning of the game, or given a technical foul. There was no doubt where all those little balls came from. It's not fair to let one team by with it and then penalize the other one. The way it worked out it's ok to throw things on the court as long as you do it first! Plus, a call like that should never decide a game let a lone an enitre season.

does anyone know why he threw a bottle on the floor, and if anyone knows who it was, can you pm me and tell me anyway, the "T" was the right call, but one ref at the game called a very bad game. I can't believe they let him coach baseball, but bobcats hold your heads up. Blackcats, I think you will have your hands full, dont worry, runner-up to the rebels still get you to the expo!!!!!

I don't have a dog in this fight- but BL looked to be on the wrong side of M. Hall's wager pool tonight. I am pretty sure the bottle came from a female and not a male fan, difference in the game. B-Ball is all about momentum and runs, that possession with a 5-6 point turnaround will destroy alot of confidence in 14-18 yr. old kids.

I am curious. Are you inferring that there is some difference between a male or female fan throwing the bottle on the court? If so, why is it different that a female through the bottle rather than a male fan?

Hey, at least we made it. The worst call I ever seen in my life was called against Prestonsburg just the night before, and there was a fair warning to both fan sections that the next thing thrown on the court would result in a T. How can you say it was bad reffing when it was just a terrible decision by some fan.
#27
Congrats to Pburg..Always a great game when these two matchup but hate to see my seniors and my friends go out like the way they did. IMO the warning should have been issued to Pburg's student section because they were dumb enough to throw balls out onto the court. At the same time, the call the night before was a hundred times worse. Officials should put their whistles in their pockets in situations like this!!! JMO

I agree.

I look for the "warning" to be issued prior to the start of Friday's game. Meaning the first object/s thrown will result in a T.

Congrats P-burg
