#1
Has anyone played this game yet? I have '07 and was wondering if there were any new features available this go around to make it worth buying?

I have 08, but I don't know about new features because I never played 07. It's worth buying though, really fun game.

Yeah I'm having a tough time trying to decide if I should get MLB 08 or 2K8...I've been asking people on gamefaqs.com but there are people that say 08 is the worst game they've ever played and then there's those that say it's the best they've ever playes, so I don't know.

my cousin has 2k8 and he said it's the hardest thing ever. It took him a full day to learn how to swing.

I can speak for the ps3 versions after playing both demos and I thought that mlb 08:the show was the better.

Already widely considered the most authentic baseball game available, MLB 08 THE SHOW is set to provide fans with the most realistic baseball experience to date with innovations such as a more immersive Road to The Show mode, enabling gamers to play both offense and defense from the created player's perspective. Providing players with some additional performance incentives, the MLB franchise introduces the new Progressive Batting Performance feature, which will both reward players for superior performance and penalize them for hitting slumps. Specific to each individual batter, players will be rewarded with slight contact bonuses, or punished with slight decreases in contact, based on how that batter that performs beyond his "natural ability" while under user control. Adding to the online feature set, which includes customizable Online League Play with up to 30 teams, scrolling MLB Score Ticker and more, MLB 08 THE SHOW introduces SCOUT (SportsConnect Online User Tracking), which allows gamers to set and store their game preferences on the MLB server, and enables the system to look for a Quick Match with opponents that fits similar competitive criteria.

On 2k8, just change the swing controls to Classic, thats what I always do at least on 2k7.
