#1
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP)—Running back George Stripling was dismissed from the Louisville football team Friday for a violation of team rules.

Stripling was suspended for one game last season for an unspecified violation of team rules. He ran for 1,338 yards and 13 touchdowns in 34 career games for the Cardinals.

Stripling, from Jacksonville, Fla., has one year of eligibility remaining.

Good news to hear.

I like what Kragthorpe is doing, and thats laying down the law. Stripling was a very quick player that could break for 6 at any moment... I think that this will help Louisville in the long run.

Its gonna work out better for strip because he wouldnt have been in the greatest shape and he wouldve been 4th on the depth chart... Vic Anderson and Bilal Powell are both faster than him and Brock is just a bruiser... Strip was suspended all spring so this comes as no surprise... Its one thing too smoke the wacky weed... but to let it ruin your future is stupid... he just had to not use for like 3 months for the NCAA drug test (they have 2 a year) and he would have been fine... just stupid decisions on his part...

It also shows that Krags is a different kind of coach than Bobby P because these same players were on teh team with P but he knew how to keep them in line long enough to not fail the drug tests... but the off season was fair game... But all that mattered was they went out there and won football games and they did with BP... Same group of guys, different styles and mentalities...
