Some say, "Taxes are evil." Some say, "Taxes are necessary." Some say, "Government is bad." Others say, "Government is necessary." Is it possible to disagree on politics and religion without nastiness and hate?

It should be possible.

However, many people do not have any sound reasoning behind any of their political beliefs. When confronted with an educated argument, they then resort to being loud and obnoxious.
