LOUISVILLE — Manual won its sixth consecutive combined championship at the Pannell Swim Shop/KHSAA swimming and diving championships Saturday. The Lady Crimsons won their fifth straight girls' title and used that to clinch the combined crown with 469 points.

"The girls gave us such a big lead," Coach Gary Webb said. "We had about a 150-point lead going into the boys' events. Some boys' teams scored more but not enough to offset our lead."

Webb, who coaches both teams, said he was confident Manual would repeat

Beechwood edged Paul Dunbar for second, amassing 334 combined points. The Bulldogs had 326 points. Model had 169 points.

The award is presented by the Swimming Coaches Association.

The Lady Crimsons won three individual events and two relays. Kasey Allen won the boys' diving title.
