Magoffin County banged, bruised and battered
#1
Magoffin Lady Hornets have gone through some tough times as of late, with lead off speedster Brandi Jo (BJ) Howard and #2 hitter Lindsey Howard both sidelined indefinately. BJ collided with the catcher during the Pikeville game and has not recovered yet from a knee injury in which she will be going to get a MRI this week. Lindsey broke her nose and will probably be out all next week. BJ and Lindsey are two of the best outfielders in the 15th and this puts Coach Holbrook in a tough position coming into 4 district games this week, two of which is against District rival Johnson Central. If thats not bad enough pitcher Kelli Patrick just returned this week from a knee injury, but seems to be ok as of now. These are just the major injurys that I mentioned, there are two or three more minor problems with some girls that should be healed soon. Magoffin was off to a really good start this season before the injury bug hit but the Lady Hornets still have the personal to make alot of noise in the 15th.
Good luck girls and keep up the good work.
Here's wishing BJ and Lindsey the best and hope to see you on the field soon.

News from BJ Howard is NO Damage to knee, just a bad strain and look for BJ back to full strength in about a week. Lindsey goes to the docter today.
