Congratulation to LCC mid budget sports.

I say this being honest, and I feel that this shows that it doesn't matter how much money you spend on a program, it is the athletes who shine. Look below!

So far this year this has been the success of Letcher Co Central Cougar's mid budget programs compared to the big budget programs that has spent a lot of money

Mid to low budget sports.

Cross Country-Boys Regional Champions, Girls Regional Runners Up, and Dakota Kincer being regional runner up.
Soccer-Boys district runners up, and Girls District Champs.
Volleyball-Low budget sport won region.
Golf-Had two qualify for state. First time we had a girl qualify.
Wrestling-Had one win region, and a handful qualify for state.
Tennis-Boys region champs, Boys and girls Doubles champs.
Track-? We will see, but I think we are going to have at least three regional champs
Softball- Haven't won a district crown in two years.

Big Budgets Sports

Football-District and regional runners up
Basketball-Boys District Champs, Girls District Champs, and Regional Runners UP.
Baseball-Right now they are struggling, and Have lost two district matches this year

I just want everyone to know how far these sports have come alone, and the fact they have held there own as far a being a successful sports program is amazing. Is it like this in other schools? Let's get a good discussion about this.
