Another tie for the cougars. Question about ties. How do they break ties in soccer when it is playoffs, and why don't they do it in the regular season? Ties to me is a waste of a game to play. There has got to be a way to end a tie.

The always go into extra-time.
Say two 15 minute halfs.
If the score remains,then a best-of-5 shootout.

lol that is a good question that will never be answered Cougar no one knows...In the Pros the tables are based off a points system 3 points for a win 1 point tie 0 for a loss...but with high school thats a very good question...There is nothing in the official handbook on it so IDK...However, just to clear something else it is no sudden death either you play 2 fifteen minute halfs if one team has scored you still play the second half
