Sources: Pennington has torn shoulder

Miami Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington has been initially diagnosed with a torn capsule in his throwing shoulder and the Dolphins expect him to miss the rest of the season, sources familiar with the injury he suffered Sunday told ESPN Senior NFL Analyst Chris Mortensen.

Could be the end of his career. Never really was known for a strong arm anyway and he's been around for awhile so I'm not sure if he'll make it back. If so I don't expect him to be a starter again.

I think I remember seeing a stat like: When Pennington starts a FULL season his teams never won LESS than 10 games! What a testament to his leadership ability.
