Analysis
You know what's alarming, the fact that some of these teams have yet to play a team in one of the other "big 5" conferences.
3 teams have yet to play a "big" opponent out of conference(Miss. St, Tennessee, Ole Miss)
SEC has 3 teams that haven't compared too
Big Ten-0
ACC-0
Big XII-1
Pac 10-3
Big East-3 (16 teams)
So techincally, the SEC has, in my estimation, played the 5th, possibly 6th hardest schedule out of the 6 "major" conferences.
Contenders for March
Florida-Best team in the SEC
UK-I think they make the tournament, how far they go????
Arkansas-I'm impressed by them
LSU-I like Davis
Stuck in between
Alabama-I'm not sold on them whatsoever
Vandy-My money is on them falling just short again, but they do have a couple nice wins
Pretenders
Tennessee-play somebody
Georgia-play somebody
Ole Miss-The one decent team you played, you lost by 53
Auburn-The one decent team you played, you lost by a ton
Miss. St-You lost to SE Lousiana and Northwestern St. (no, not the Big Ten team. SE Louisana lost to Texas Wesleyan by 7 points (a D-II team) earlier in the year.
South Carolina-The two decent teams they have played, they have lost
The SEC at worst will have 4 tournament teams, and at the best, will have 6.
I think they'll end up with 5......
