Check out Microsoft's TERRASERVER and zoom in on famous landmarks around the US and even your own property from 300 miles in space. Click on the US map to zoom in on any region. Click again when new map loads to zoom in again. Keep clicking to get to the exact place you want to see. Give it a try....loads of fun and highly educational.

Google Earth also comes in a standalone version.

And here's Google Moon (click me, I'm a link) ... if you zoom in far enough you can see an amazing level of surface detail. Confusedhh:
