I had heard a while back that Montana was disgruntled with the NFL and things along that train of thought. That is why I think that there is a little more to this.

Naturally, I can't stand athletes that act like this--but the dollar figure is so inflated that it leads me to believe that he intentionally inflated it because he wanted to send some kind of message or something . . . .

I look at it like this. If someone is trying to buy something off of you and you already told them that you didn't want to saleit. They come back with, Well if you did sale it, what would it take. So you throw some crazy figure out there, knowing that the is noway they will pay it. BUT, if they say o.k. you would take the money.
So Montana said he wanted to see his kids play ball and watch the Super Bowl with them. They said what would it take and he threw them a crazy figure knowing they wouldn't pay it. If they said o.k. he would have loaded the kids up and had a nice little vacation and still got to be with them. So why is he so bad for wanting to be with his kids. He didn't get a dime and he stayed home with his family. Is that so bad?

I don't see a problem with Montana done. I mean, he should have made an appearance, but if he feels watching his son play is more important then it's his decision.....so respect the man. Besides, what's this money talk anyways? The article clearly states he denied the $100,000 snub....
