I'm sure the boys you sling the hash to are incredibly grateful for all the training innovations that you have brought to the Highlands training table.

This is awesome. I think I remember checking this site out as early as 2001 maybe and it was very impressive then as well.

First off, I said in a previous thread that my trolling days are over - and they are. First off, Covington Catholic has improved a lot these past couple of years, and that score doesn't do justice in comparing Cov Cath of previous years since their state title to the Cov Cath of now. Coach Wirth has done an excellent, and I mean an excellent job at the program. He has brought the program back to being one of the elite programs in the state. Had Cov Cath not been in the same region as Highlands this year, they may have been able to advance further in the tournament. It wouldn't have been easy dealing with the likes of a tough Boyle, Lex Cath, or Franklin-Simpson - but their chances would have been good given the talent they have. Next year Cov Cath can be really good again with the return of Blake Bir. If they can get some guys to step it up and replace that insane offensive line they had, they will be rolling again.

Second, let me say that I have no connection to Wideleft01.

And finally, I will give everyone some advice on trolls. Take them (or us lol, I consider myself a former troll now ) with a grain of salt. If you make a comment back toward Wideleft01, consider yourself a big bass fish having just ate the bait sent down by a fisherman. If his threads get no replies, he will probably quit. I get a chuckle out of lefty's posts, as I did my own. But if it does bother you, getting on here and commenting on his threads won't do you any good. Life is too short - people like this need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Thank you Backwoods. Glad you are giving me a chance. People will learn to deal with me eventually. In all seriousness, I just enjoy getting on here and having a good time posting. I don't know lefty - but as I had mentioned in my previous post, the more people that respond to him, the more he will do this. If people respond to him in agitation - he has won. I don't take offense to lefty's posts at all. I find them quite comical, actually. I came in thinking it would be funny to troll, and actually made my username more to make fun of Wideleft01. But honestly, I enjoy the serious discussions more.

And MTNS - think what you want about me. I take your opinion with a grain of salt. I stepped on the football field many times back in the day.

Finally, best of luck to the Cov Cath program. To a previous poster who was asking, I think they were the second best team on our schedule behind Cincinnati Elder (yes, a 2-8 Elder team but a VERY good 2-8 team) and one could create an argument to say that they were the best team on our schedule. We played some tough competition in the likes of Franklin-Simpson, Boyle County, Lexington Catholic, among others - and remember that Cov Cath was ranked as the second best team in 4A when we played them. And I wouldn't dispute that ranking. They are very, very good and I will say again that coach Wirth has that program going in a very good direction.

I didn't think it was that bad. Those are real stats and valid questions. Maybe it didn't require its own thread, but if people didn't realize you don't like CovCath and NewCath before this thread then they haven't been here too long.

I was the first to reply and although a little harsh I thought it was a legitamate question about whether or not their's was considered to be a rivalry. Winning on an average of every four years or so would not constitute a good rivalry in my book. I thought it was one of Lefty's more legitamate threads.
