Itâs been awhile since we talked any Kentucky football around here, but itâs that time of the year and the football team has been practicing this spring and are ready for one of their first unveilings. The annual Blue-White scrimmage game takes place this Saturday at 6pm at Commonwealth Stadium. If you plan on going, here are a few important things to note.:
- Admission and parking are free on a first-come, first-served basis. (If youâve never gotten to sit on the 50-yard line, hereâs your chance!)
- The Red, Blue and Green parking lots open at 8 a.m. and fans are invited to tailgate.
- Stadium gates, 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11 open at 4:30 p.m.
- Seating will be available in the north, west and south lower sections of the stadium.
Also, since this is the first public showing for the new Cats squad, there is a commemorative poster that will be given out to fans in attendance, along with a roster card to help acclimate you with the team.
The poster features the celebration after UKâs 10-7 win, including quarterback Matt Roark being carried off the field by jubilant fans. Quantities are limited and the posters will be given away first-come, first-served at the stadium gates. In addition, fans attending the Blue/White Game may pick up free roster cards at the stadium gates.http://cincinnati.com/blogs/nkysports/20...-saturday/

I like it.
Hopefully we can build on finally breaking the streak with the Vols.
I think they take a step forward this season.
Bud Dupree I believe will be a star on defense. Max Smith and the receivers have to step up. Maybe Tolles will be the real deal.
I can't wait. I'm ready for some football!

I would guess with the weather forecast attendance will be thin.

I was there, but left at halftime because of the cold weather. Here is what I saw..
Bad:
Receivers dropped a lot of balls
Russell and Smith looked uncomfortable at times in the pocket which is expected
Line looked slow and unable to get holes open
Are receivers didn't hold blocks very well
Good:
Newton didn't play
Both Qbs threw awesome balls at times. But receivers dropped most of them
TE #89 was a beast after catching the ball
#40 on defense was a monster
