Couch coming back to KCC
#1
Jamie Couch to return as Knott Central's Baseball Coach.
#2
Why did he resign in the first place?
#3
Why isnt Cavanaugh Trent going to remain the coach? Guess he is allergic to work I assume. Cant believe Couch is coming back, hard to believe with his boys playing so many sports. Trent needs to do it and not get away with being a lazy turd down at the board.

Jamie resigned to spend more time and focus on his boys, but his boys have just about quit playing baseball. Only one of them played this year and I don't see the other playing pass little league. Jamie is going to take his boys back to Emmalena, this year and will probably get the basketball job over there, since Cavanaugh dislikes Ronald Huff and Caleb Trent is holding back this year. This is the best thing they could have done, Gene Combs would have been a mistake, Cavanaugh is well, THE ROCK you put it best a Lazy Turd.

I dont see Couch coming back....:HitWall:

Don't see Couch returning & would be surprised if Gary Hammonds is not asked to return.Kcc was solid and always competitive with him at the helm.Just a feeling I have that he will be interviewed or approached before all is said and done.

Knott Central needs to really think through this one. What about the middle school coach as a possibility? I would think that him or Mullins would be great candidates.

Middle School Coach doesn't have enough experience to take over KCC, they are not about giving opportunity to first time high school coach without him being tied to someone at the Board. As for Mullins, he knows the game very well, but he would not be able to handle the pressure of dealing with the parents. Jamie Couch or Gary Hammonds would be the best fit for the program if they can talk one of them into it. Gene Combs, Brian Dean, and Cavanugh Trent would do nothing, but hurt the program. Gene is all about Gene Combs and would not sit well, coming from the outside he will not fit in. Brian Dean is the best of the three, but his rated-r comments would not be taking to very weel. Cavanugh Trent, well just look at what he has done since he has taking over, he was a great player, not a great coach. Knowing the Game and Coaching the Game is two different things. I just hope Mrs. King makes the right choice for the long term future of the program, not the quick fix.

We will gladly keep Coach Dean in Letcher County since he would be a great detriment to the program in Knott County. Coach Dean doesn't cowtail down to parents and to politics and those qualities doesn't fare well in Knott County. Coach Mullins would be a good choice and he is also a good guy, but I think he is more comfortable being an assistant. The biggest think that Coach Dean could do or has done to hurt the Knott County program was beating them in the regional finals last year when Knott County had superior talent and was anointed by many as being the shoo-in as regional champs. Coach Trent is a good guy and given the chance, will do a good job.
