I've seen a worse hockey hit/shot. I don't remember how long ago it was but a goalie got hit in the throat with a puck, he immediately started bleeding all over the ice and holding his throat. It was gross and people thought he was going to die right there, but amazingly he did survive. I'll try and find the video clip again.

PF, I know the one that you are talking about. I honestly thought the dude was going to die. Same goes from the karate master that cut the guy's throat open. SCARY!

OK, I found the video, after watching the video again, he wasn't hit by the puck, that was another incident. But in this video you see Sabres goalie Clint Malarchuk get wiped out by a St. Louis player and in doing so gets sliced by the other player's skate. Luckily you can't see the actual injury, just the aftermath.
