I heard that a billboard sign and pole fell on or around KY STATE POLICE Post 9.(Pikeville)
#11
It was leaning on a build next to the state police post. Could have easily fell across US 23.

I haven't been out this morning but I want to see if yesterday's storms caused any more damage here that what was already done.

I finally talked to my aunt about what happened to her porch during the last storm that we had. The wind had pulled the bolts out of her house that connected the porch to it, lifted the ENTIRE porch up including the beams that ran vertical to hold it up, and it ended up on the mountain behind her house so it flew OVER her house and back onto the mountain. It is so heavy that they can't pick it up with anything to reset it, they will have to take it apart and see if there are any material that they can reuse.

I just got power back on here....It was a long night

That sucks Basketballer. From what I've heard quite a few people in Prestonsburg and Paintsville was without electricity last night.

I lost underpinning and several shingles so I guess it time for me to work on the house.
i was headed for wise last night when the storm hit, turned for home and it took a 15 min to travel a mile and a half do to the hail, wind, trees, and rain.
this was a bad one, but could have been much worse.

People had taken videos on the cellphones of a tornado this morning on the news. Not sure the location of it though.

I looked out of a window in the kitchen and thought to myself "Wow, it looks funny outside." Then I remembered where the sky had looked like that before..in Twister!
