I drive a 2.4, 4 Cylinder myself and I don't drive too often here in Lexington but rather walk...So it's not breaking me up too bad on money, but it's just the principle of the fact for me that they're making so much money off of people...I'd love it if just for one day the U.S. went on strike from buying any gasoline..Sure millions would still buy it, but imagine what kind of message that would send, because millions still wouldn't buy it....They'll keep raising the prices as long as we're feeding the beast...

Well, thats kind of the same concept. If people had smaller tanks, then less fuel would be bought...
But then the price of cars would probably go up...

$2.69 at Wal-Mart in Pikeville. That is down from last week. You can save .03 cents if you use a shoppers card. I buy a shoppers card of how much gas I want then pay for it with the card to save money. The shoppers card makes it $2.66. Can't beat that now-a-days

I believe that these prices would be a bit easier to take if there were valid reasons for them....at no time when we are paying what we are paying for gasoline should a company have record profits...And the reasons that the media gives to us for the rising gas prices don't exactly wash either, Nigeria has been unsettled for how long as well as any other mid eastern country-
What I would love to see happen as a result of this is to seriously look for alternative fuel resources...open the Alaskan are for drilling and to re-open refineries that were closed previously to meet the rising demand.

oil prices are ridiculous........ just exactly what is our goverment doin to help???? can anyone answer that? how can someone who earns minimum wage pay for their gas to get to their job? something needs to be done, and QUICK. there are no reason for this other than the rich want to get richer.
