They're not scared to play in a confrence,they don't want to share all that tv money with anyone else,and i don't blame them.Notre Dame is the only team in the country with thier on Television contract.no other college can come close to the revenue thier football program generates on a yearly basis.i've been an IRISH fan for about 35 years or so.

Actually ND would make $$Millions more if they played in a conference ie Big Ten. Forbes magizine 4/19/2011
