It's going to be a Looooooooooooooong day. The festivities get started at 4:30. Parking lot will be full by 5:30, so they will be parking a mile away and shuttling them in from Reily Elementary. Governor will be there to christen the field. Bengals will be there to present Grant Check. It's going to be a pretty big deal in Alexandria Friday night.

Not of interest. The week before the Alexandria Fair, they bring in a decent musical act for kick off the week. Well, this Friday they have Diamond Rio and Joe Nichols who will be playing at the fairgrounds. With the christening of the football field, it's expected that as many as 5,000 people will be coming to the game. The concert will be lucky to draw 150 people......
