Lafayette @ Tates Creek 10/25

This game is for the District Championship. Who do you think wins and why?

Lafayette. I can't pick a team coming off a loss to GRC.

I'm with this guy. It could be a good game but I have Lafayette.

Tates Creek... maybe TC big, but I'll wait until Thursday to post what I think the score will be. Make no mistake about it, these TC kids will be looking to prove something after what I can only imagine they feel was an embarrassing loss to GRC...

How can you pick any team to win "BIG" that just lost to GRC?

I’ve been following Tates Creek all year, and if you go back and read through my posts I’ve been dead on in every prediction. Not just in calling the winner of the game and the score (that’s easy), but I also predicted the mistakes they would before they made them. GRC played a great game, while Tates Creek played without their starting QB in the first half (Gordon), and without two of their starting receivers (Dunn and Rogers) for the game. I think the coaching staff and the players took a lot away from the GRC game, and have new perspective going forward. With Gordon back at the helm, Dunn and Rogers rejoining Taylor, Carter, Sweet, and Shelby running routes, and you have an offense that will be difficult to defend (at least for Lafayette to defend). The big question will be the defense. Who shows up? The defense that started out the year pitching shut outs, or the defense that let GRC in the end zone 6 times? I’d put my money on the first one (at least for this game). So I’m picking TC in a big win here… If I’m wrong… I’ll eat crow… but it would be the first time this year. ;-)

Not sold on Tates Creeks. According to " UNDECIDED ", Creek is ready to make the next step. Well so far it's the same step as the year before, the year before, the year before and so on. Though Creek has had more wins this season than previous 2-3 years, which is a plus, but take it to the next level?

I think Lafayette just might have gained some confidence. You talk about TC being without some players. What about Lafayette????? Look at what they have lost during the year not to mention what they lost before the year even started. They opened up playing a schedule that NOBODY would want to play. My hand goes out to those at Lafayette for coaching these young men up.

Who did Lafayette loose before the season started? Just curious.

I think Tommy is prob referring to Lafayette losing 10/11 starters on offense and 7/11 starters on defense from last years team. However, over the summer they did lose kids for the season that were slated in to start at MLB, FB and slot receiver.

At the start of the season, Lafayette was starting 3 freshman and 3 sophomores on offense alone. They are now starting 5 freshman on offense(including 1 of whom is the 3rd QB this season).

I was making ref. to those lost starters from a year ago...
Didn't know about the summer stuff.
