âRelax, all right? Donât try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, theyâre fascist. Throw some ground balls â itâs more democratic.â

Good to see the Rams come away with a win. Maybe they can get over the hump and finally win a regional championship.

Congrats to Rams. Paintsville did a great job this year getting things turned around.

Did the Rams open up the play book or keep simple since the Pikeville faithful where there scouting..

Seemed to open it up some. Ran some pistol and wildcat with Messer/Beech in the backfield. Play calling seemed spuratic though. Seemed like they were working on some things. 2 drops of rain in Raceland makes the field sloppy. So there were some uncharacteristic fumbles. The entire play book has yet to be revealed, but they have been working on some stuff. Still yet to put a complete offensive game together. Next week would be a great time to do so. Last time these seniors will play on their home field. Raceland's seniors, especially their sr lineman seem hellbent on defending that ground though. Next week should be a GREAT ball game.
Hats off to the new Paintsville staff. Completely dofferent ball club than in recent years. They were a young team as well. District 7 should the most complete dostrict in 1A for quite awhile.

Zero touches for Paintsville's Phelps? Why did that happen? Anyone know?

Seems reasonable they would be there scouting. No doubt some Hazard people will be at Ramland next Friday.

Congrats to the Rams, they're the lone program in our region remaining and hopefully they represent it well next week! They have some weapons on that ball team and if they can get it all together they have the opportunity to go far.

Phelps injured his right shoulder during the 2nd quarter of play, he was told to sit out the remainder of the game.

It still does not explain why he never touched it in the first qtr. I really can't remember but I could swear I did not hear his name called in the radio.
Hope he heals quick, they need him in the other sports badly.

This is hard to believe. But, according to the stats given on KHSAA. He didn't have a touch.

And you are right. We need him healthy in the other sports!
