Sutkamp has been offered by Georgetown. Lyon has been offered preferred walk-ons to Cincinnati and Marshall. Lyon has also been offered scholarships to Georgetown and Beminji State.

Who was the MLB this year for the 'Breds? I watched the finals and was very impressed by the size and play of him. He was all over the field defensively.

cong: to all, Sutkamp is a stud.

These the only two kids from NCC getting any looks. Georgetown would be a good choice. Not sure I am buying the preferred walk on status. Marshall for pretty obvious reasons, but UC? Where is Beminji State and what level is that?

That was Sutkamp

NCAA D2 school in Northern Minnesota, closer to Canada than Minneapolis. They have a nasty hockey program, pretty good at football too

Sutkamp and Lyon would be great catches for G-town. They have a little NCC connection there. Sutkamp is a stud.

I felt like he could have played at a higher level, great potential. He WILL be on the field at Georgetown and receive a first class education. Congrats to the signees.

Lyon has also picked up another offer from Seton Hill and Mercyhurst. Both schools in PA.

Heh, you can't coach size and speed. 6'5, 200 pounds and running a 4.6 forty with a pedigree is not an everyday thing. Lyon will definitely need to work hard in the next few years to put the weight on, but thats what a D1 program can do. Just look at Collinsworth. I now see why the kid from Walton turned down money at smaller schools to walk on at UK.
BTW, who gives a crap if your buying anythingâ¦â¦I think i stated the obvious reasons above.

As far as quality small school players, Georgetown has already picked up one great offensive lineman in Raceland's Nevan Johnson, as well as Mac Boggs from Raceland as well. I would expect Boggs to either put on some weight, or just add some more muscle to his 260 lb frame and play OLB rather than DE. What kind of defense does Gtown run? Sutkamp is from a long line of great football players. He reminds me alot of Urlacker when he came out of HS. He played FS at Nevada. Any chance Sutkamp has the speed for that?

Pedigree? Says who? Kid has size, I will give you that. The rest?

careful tampax, your starting to disrespect high school kids on here, thats a no no.
ill give you the fact, you have no idea what you are talking about. D1 schools dont invite non talented kids. did lyon abuse your kid in practice? did the ncc coach not play your son enough?
why not be happy the kid is bringing some D1 interest to your school.
best of luck to both ncc kids, wherever they decide to go.

Congratulations! Both will be terrific assets at whatever schools they choose.

You want to talk about disrespecting a high school kid and yet you make some comment about Lyon abusing my kid in practice? That would be the day. Saw plenty of games this year to know better. The NCC coach did not play my kid enough? I hope not. HaHa. And then you want to call me a name? Since you seem to know so much about the Lyon kid, any chance the dad follows him to the school of his choice?

I simply asked a question to the reason as to why your panties were in such a bunch. Don't know who your kid is, you smartly keep your identity hidden. Easy for you to hide and make comments. Did i call you a name?â¦.i see now, that was the auto spell, it can't help it.
No way kemosabe, this is my school nowâ¦â¦.

And why should you know who my kid is, so you can pick on him like some bully? Panties are not in a bunch at all, just calling a spade a spade I guess. If this kid is so highly thought of as a D-1 player, then where are all of the offers? Isn't National Signing day next week? You mention 6'5", runs a 4.6 fourty, pedigree and yet not one Division 1 school has made an offer a week before the signing day? Hopefully the kid can go somewhere and enjoy the college experience whether it is to play football or just be a college student.

I know, lyon must of broke your daughters heart. Why you hate so much? Jealousy will eat a hole in your stomach bro. 5'11 kids get to walk on at union or Thomas more.

I think Mantax askes a good qustion, but I do understand why you wouldn't want to answer it.

6'5" kids can also play at Thomas More. If I had a daughter I am sure she would not be interested in Lyon or anything about him. No reason to be jealous at all of him or anyone to do with him. As I said, hopefully the kid can find a place that suits his abilities and he can enjoy the college experience.

From what I've been told, he hasn't committed because he has more than one offer. Big decision to turn down scholarship money or take a preferred walk on to a D1 school. Those walk on offers aren't given away lightly. I'm guessing you just don't know. You can hate all you want tampax, but the only reason why I see him not being offered D1 money is he is listed at 200 instead of 220.
Like I've said, if you got a problem with me, I'll gladly meet you up at NCC football offices and we can hash out your hatred. I enjoy meeting with disgruntled coaches or parents.

You use that word "tampax" quite a bit, is that a regular item on your grocery list every week. Now listed as 200 versus 220 is causing D1 offers to be non-existent? Hope the kid finds the program that fits him best and he gets to enjoy the college experience.

Like the song says, "Size Matters". In Lyon's case this is true. He's 6/4 plus and under weight for playing a college d-end. We all know coach's place kids in position to help the team, while sometimes sacrificing a players true position in college. If Lyon were at outside linebacker through high school career there would be no doubt about D-1 recruitment. In fact, I will go as far to say that if he walks on at a D-1 school he will be moved to that position and receive a full scholarship after an adjustment period. God knows I've been wrong most of my life, but this seems to be a safe bet.

You should have tried, "I'm rubber and your glue, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you." Would have been a better comeback.

Any word on whether or not Sutkamp is committed yet?

Dubuque, Denison and Lindsey Wilson, just to name a few, have also shown interest in Brooks.
