This shouldn't even be a thread. Michael Jordan, hands down is the best NBA player to ever play.
03-13-2005, 04:07 PM

I was stating the obvious and obviously, you don't know anything.

and what makes u think u know ne thing? lol....saying michael jordon is the best nba player, i mean wait to go out on a limb buddy..lol

I think Kareem Abdul Jabbar or Michael Jordan is considered 2 of the best players to ever play. Michael Jordan has the championships to back it up and so does Jabbar. So technically speaking, they are definitely among the best.

Well put it this way, Michael Jordan is arguably the best to ever play. You can think what you want and I can think what I want. I'm basing my opinion on watching him play, the number of championships he led his team to, and what he accomplished throughout his years. IMO, he was the best player to ever play the game and many people will argue that.

MJ was really good but i just dont think he was as good as everyone wants to think.....in his prime at Chicago when he was making his 6 championship runs....he had a great team to fall back on...the team made him what he is....you have to give Scottie Pippen and the rest of the gang some credit
03-13-2005, 11:36 PM
Pippen was the only one who performed decent once Michael left. Jordan made those other players great. None of them by their selves were great players besides Pippen but they were good role players. They knew what they needed to do and they got the job done. But MJ is the reason for most of their success. He demanded greatness and wouldnt accept anything less.
He is definelty my favortie player of all time and think he is arguably the best of all time but Oscar Robertson is up there on my list too.

yes...my point exactly...none of them could have did it by them selves....Jordan needed the team to do what he did...but the team needed him just as much
03-14-2005, 12:31 AM
um no duh guys...u cant win a ring without a good team...of course jordan needed pippen, just like bird needed mchale, or magic needed kareem, every great player needs someone else to win

OSCAR

Dont forget Parrish...he was a big role in the Celtics dominance.
03-27-2005, 02:21 PM
yea but tahts all he was, was a role player...he wasnt a dominant playre really, well thats IMO
Robert Parrish did really help the Celts and Bird tho!

When was he?
03-29-2005, 12:43 AM
parrish was a force in the middle, but every great player needs someone else to help them win...
03-29-2005, 12:43 AM
When was this exactly?
03-30-2005, 12:59 AM
this was back in the 70s and 80s
04-01-2005, 02:33 PM
back then however the NBA still was basketball...now its not about the game anymore, it has become more of an individual sport
04-01-2005, 02:33 PM
Why now? I think you mean "it's" or "it is" not "its". Bonds just keeps digging himself into a hole is not about the game anymore it has become more of an individual sport?
04-01-2005, 02:37 PM
ok but Bonds has nothing to do with the NBA, BGRBABE.
04-01-2005, 02:37 PM
Interesting. Where did Bonds get nothing to do with the NBA you? Are you kidding?
04-01-2005, 02:38 PM
Barry Bonds plays in the MLB (Major League Baseball), not the NBA (National Basketball Association)
that is why he really has nothing to do with the NBA

ill have to agree with bgrbabe on this one

Congratulations.
