Here is a rundown of the scoring I found

Russell’s Bronson Korzep rushes in for a 23-yard Touchdown. Devils lead East Carter 7-0 7:06 left 1Q.

Korzep’s interception goes 67 yards for a touchdown. Russell now on top 13-0 6:20 left 1Q.

Evan Ison scores from nine yards out. Russell now up 19-0 over East Carter 8:25 left 2Q.

Landon Brewer’s punt return for a touchdown gives Devils a 26-0 lead 6:51 left 2Q.

Nick Conley’s five-yard score gives Devils a 32-0 lead over East Carter 3:23 left 2Q.

Korzep’s third touchdown puts Devils ahead 39-0 26 seconds left 2Q.

Will Petermen’s 58-yard rush puts another score up for Russell. Devils lead 45-0 3:37 left 3Q.

Taylor Hickle’s 54-yard pass to Dalton Whitt puts Raiders on the board. Russell on top 45-7 3:37 left.

Russell is going to be better then people think. A lot of people on here started to think you were going to have a bad year because of the game against my Dawg's but that was just the 1st scrimmage and people don't want to believe that Lawrence County is going to be tough this year.
I think the only team Russell may have problems with in district 6 is Mason County and I don't even know what they have this year.

The one thing I noticed that Russell had that none of the other teams had was depth. They keep a constant rotation of players on offense and defense and it seemed like it didn't matter what group was in there, the level of play stayed consistent. Also noticed Nobody from Russell was down with cramps. Usually they have 3-4 kids knotted up. Guess that's one thing they won't be leading the area in like the past. And they did away with that goofy fake kickoff they've done for years. They do need some work on kick coverage.

I was thinking the same thing when I noticed no cramping. Thought seeing Korzep line up as punter could be benificial down the line if a fake punt was in the playbook. Russell is very deep and even deeper when and if Sammy comes back. Was glad to see Suman suited up. Our line looked very strong and maneuvered East Carter very effectively to open up some huge holes. Special teams need a lot of work though.

Russell will be a factor come playoff time.
#7
How did Suman look? Heard he was banged up.
#8
I dnt think that Suman or Smith played.

Suman played, wasn't 100%. Smith did not play, and Nick Pennington did not play. All the lineman only played about half the time minute wise. And same for the backs. Tj keep them rotated pretty well. I'm very impressed with the depth Russell has. If they can hang around till the fourth quarter on some of the better teams come playoff time, all these fresh legs should really help. Time wise a lot of these guys will have only played half a season if he keeps them rotated like that, and actually they will be playing less than that if you want to say that most of them won't be playing much past half on some blowout games which will give some younger kids and kids that don't play a lot valuable playing time which will help even more. I think Russell rotated more than all the other teams combined during the first three quarters.

The only thing i figured out Saturday was that East, Bath, And West are all horrible.
#11
Your right, but all I know is the the carter co schools have been a tough out for Russell the last several years. I want to believe Russell has improved this much and not that East has fallen this far.

Why did Raceland invite them then. Lol
#13
Probably because they are in the EKC and it was the EKC grid and Raceland was simply the host school.
#14
I think they should rotate every year. Raceland has played West the last 2 or 3 years. They need to have a roatation and no one needs to play anyone 2 years in a row. Imo, Raceland and Russell would have been much better off in facing each other or Greenup.

I think they prefer to place teams against each other that don't play in the regular season if it is at all possible. I think Russell/East is the only one that didn't work out that way in the 2 locations. But i agree rotating and not repeating would be better.

I'd have paid 10 bucks to see that Russell/Raceland scrimmage btw

I would have to. Both schools would be better off. Hazard/Belfrey always scrimmage. Pikeville always scrimmages a bigger Pike Co school. Those grid games rarely prepare anyone for anything other than what the NEKY teams offer. Which in recent years, hasnt been all that strong outside of the big 3. Ashland, Russell, Raceland.
