[Pulp Fiction]

Growing up, I heard this story several times from one of the older gentleman in my neighborhood. He played basketball at Meade Memorial in the 1960's before Johnson Central was established.

The story goes that both teams are doing warm-ups @ Breathitt County. A guy comes in to the gym wearing coal miner clothes. The 'miner' goes in to the Breathitt County locker room and comes back out dressed in a Breathitt County basketball uniform. The 'miner' is in the starting lineup for Breathitt County.



This could be a "ghost story" or this could be something that happened on a regular basis. Has anybody heard of this happening or remember seeing this take place?

I'd say several kids were in the mines and in school during the 1960s.

True story.

I was there that night. Had just got back from Vietnam where I lost my left leg and my right eye. Hell of a game. Believe the final score was 7-2.
