Russell will be there again.

I look for both Russell and Belfry to have great seasons as they do year in and year out. There are a few teams that will give both of them a run for their money this coming season!

Russell and Belfry will probably have another great game in the playoffs again. With all the realignment, at what point in the post-season would they play, and at whose place?

i am always for the mountains teams i wish them all luck but i hope Pike Central has a decent year and good luck to Johnson Central they are 5 A dang.

1A I see Pikeville and Beechwood running the state pretty much. I have been hearing that the Panthers have 25 seniors coming back and thats unheard of for a 1A football team so I can see them running the 1A state.
2A It will probably NewCath again... Unless Danville has something to say.
In 3A look for Somerset to possibly be there. I look at Somerset vs. Belfry to play in the region championship game and IMO whoever comes out of that region will be one of the teams in Papa Johns.
4A Rock and Bell will have a great chance.
5A Johnson Central and Mercer will most likely be the 2 in Lousiville.
6A Either Trinity or St. X again...

In 3A in EKY, Belfry, Breathitt, and Russell will be at the top IMO. I think Breahtitt's defense is suited to stop or at least slow down teams that run the ball as much as Belfry and Russell do. But all teams will have great years and the playoffs should be fun to watch as usual.

I like you being faithful to your mountain schools but Pikeville barely will have 25 players let alone 25 seniors. Also, what makes you think Johnson Central can get past the semifinals again considering they got drilled last year after going in undefeated.

What makes you so certain they cant? It's a new year and opinions are all that is there right now.

It just seems that the mountains can't seem to get by the northern Ky teams as JC found out about in last years semi's. I just think with the move up to 5A will be a huge challenge for JC. Let's hope they can get there. As for Pikeville, I just don't beleive that they will have 25 seniors on their roster. However, the new watered down version of 1A seems to pave the Panthers way for a trip to the big slice. Belfry, as always will make a good run at it.

We had 4-5 out on vacation who will be back this week. Thats not even counting the lineman. Pikeville will have at LEAST 45-50 out when summer practice begins. So next time you decide to make a "Bold Prediction" like this. You might wanna ask someone who was there so you dont sound so foolish.

I am thrilled that Pikeville will have the numbers back up to at least 45 or 50. That is great that the interest is back up after another thread was bashing the Pikeville kids for quitting. I assume that all of the ones in question are back out if the roster will be at 50. Obviously a bunch of new kids are coming out to get the numbers up that high. I just was amazed that 25 seniors were out this year...that has to be a record!! Good luck!!!

Good luck!!!Well Im telling you for the 2nd time that the thread about quitting wasnt intended to be a Pikeville thread it was about all schools in this area. Yes weve had a few quit this year but its no more than usual. Some of those that quit was kindve addition by subtraction if you know what I mean. LOL!

There won't be 25 seniors out this year. There might have been that many if some had stayed dedicated and not gotten into other things. For some reason kids these days are scared to death of the weight room. Not to say they couldn't still play if they didn't lift but it just puts them so far behind.
