No-Hitter for Buehrle...
#1
Mark Buehrle hurled the first no-hitter in the big leagues this year, striking out eight while allowing one walk, as the White Sox socked the Rangers 6-0. It was the 16th no-hitter in ChiSox history and first since Wilson Alvarez threw one at Baltimore on Aug. 11, 1991.

Was this a perfect game or a no-hitter?

This was a no-hitter. He walked only one, and ended up picking him off at first base. He faced the minimum 27 batters. Excellent performance by Buehrle. Congrats to him!

Either way that was a wonderful outing. How often does that happen?

He was one walk away from perfection...I got excited when typing the thread and goofed the headline!

An awesome performance to say the least! Congrats on the no-no.

I agree...I saw the highlights on sportscenter and it was a good performance, but then again it had to be a good performance because he did pitch a no-no.
